We ♥ technology

Because our development services cover a broad spectrum of technology areas spanning from client server applications, object-oriented software, internet or intranet applications, we must keep up all the best technologies.

We approach each project with the right tools, whether it be as simple as a css makeover or an entire application built from the ground up. We have experience in multiple languages, platforms and application frameworks. Our goal is to work with technologies that make sense for the project and fit the technology mix for your organization.

.NET for the Enterprise

While most large companies and universities employ some form or flavor of the .NET Framework from Microsoft, other may have systems that use it and not even know. We work closely within the patterns and practices of other .NET developers and are a Microsoft Certified. Our team of developers can work with your existing infrastructure to provide the best solution possible.

In addition to the framework itself, we have years of experience working with Sharepoint Services, SQL Server, Active Directory and other Microsoft applications.

PHP for everyone

To develop using a single language is to be boxed in. In fact, we encourage organizations to look at competing technologies to find the best fit that makes sense. PHP is an Open-Source language that has made the rounds from small projects developed by teenagers to big projects developed by, well, teenagers, and grown-ups too. Just because some development may be done using open-source technologies, does not mean it’s open to the public, we keep a tight lid on what we develop, unless of course it’s developed for the community.

Since PHP is ubiquitous with web development, there’s a great pool of information, concepts and patterns from which to model a solution. Most technologies, languages and platforms play well together, so there is no worry putting them in the same sandbox.

Java, J2EE, Java Server

Of course we would be remiss if we left Java out of the mix of technologies we know and love. We use tools built in Java, work with portals written in Java and even write custom portlets in Java. While it may not be a preferred language for us, some projects demand that we be flexible, so there it is. Actually, we’ve gotten to love some of the technology behind the Liferay portal, Jenzabar JX and other enterprise applications built in Java.

Microsoft SQL, MySQL, SQLite, Informix and Oracle

We couldn’t be developers of applications without data and its storage, so we’ve kept up to date on our SQL chops. Regardless of the flavor of SQL, we have experience with large and small systems and have even built solutions employing multiple database platforms. Again, just because one part of a project may use a particular technology stack, the majority of the time they can intermarry – so we’re good either way.

Javascript, jQuery, CSS, XML, XHTML and other acronyms

Wow, there’s a mouthful – actually it’s the little ‘lesser known’ technologies that make things look and behave the way they do. Think of it as the frosting on the cake, and to a degree the cake itself. While the technologies we list above are great to know and use, they are really the tools that output these other little gems, and that’s what the browser actually interacts with. We work with companies and products that are powerhouses and rock-solid, yet miss the mark when it comes to presentation and interaction. Not only do you get the best solutions built with the best technology, our work is usually the best looking too!
